Ashtagandha Co-operative Housing Society – Rules & Regulations

1. General Conduct

  1. All members and residents shall maintain peace, harmony, and a friendly environment within the society premises.

  2. Residents must adhere to all applicable laws, municipal rules, and society bylaws.

  3. No activities causing nuisance, disturbance, or inconvenience to other members are allowed.


2. Maintenance & Charges

  1. Every member shall pay maintenance charges, water, and electricity bills on time as decided by the managing committee.

  2. Delay in payment will attract a late fee as per society resolution.

  3. Common area maintenance, repairs, and utilities will be managed by the society office.


3. Use of Flats / Premises

  1. Flats are meant for residential purposes only; commercial activities are strictly prohibited unless approved by the committee.

  2. Sub-letting or renting flats must comply with the society’s bylaws and must be informed to the committee.

  3. Residents must ensure cleanliness within their flats and balcony areas.


4. Common Areas

  1. Common areas such as corridors, lifts, staircases, gardens, and parking spaces must not be obstructed.

  2. No personal belongings, construction material, or vehicles should be kept in common areas.

  3. Children must be supervised while using common spaces.


5. Parking & Vehicles

  1. Only authorized vehicles are allowed in designated parking areas.

  2. Driving within society premises must be at a safe speed.

  3. No petrol/diesel leakage, oil change, or vehicle repairs are allowed in the society premises.


6. Security & Safety

  1. Residents and visitors must follow security guidelines issued by the society.

  2. Entry of unknown visitors must be informed to the security personnel.

  3. Fire safety and other emergency equipment must not be tampered with.


7. Renovation & Construction

  1. Any structural alteration or renovation must be approved by the managing committee.

  2. Construction work should be carried out within designated timings (e.g., 8 AM – 6 PM).

  3. Debris or construction waste must be removed immediately; no disposal in common areas.


8. Noise & Disturbance

  1. Use of loud music, parties, or events must be restricted to reasonable timings and should not disturb neighbors.

  2. No firecrackers or loud celebrations are allowed inside flats or common areas without prior approval.


9. Waste Management

  1. Garbage should be disposed of in designated dustbins or waste collection points.

  2. Segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste is mandatory.

  3. Burning of waste in premises is strictly prohibited.


10. Pets & Animals

  1. Only domesticated pets are allowed with prior permission from the committee.

  2. Pets must not create nuisance or safety issues.

  3. Owners are responsible for cleaning after their pets in common areas.


11. Meetings & Communication

  1. Members must attend Annual General Meetings (AGM) and other special meetings.

  2. Notices will be communicated via email, WhatsApp, notice board, or society portal.

  3. Members should inform the office of change of contact information immediately.


12. Dispute Resolution

  1. Any disputes among members or with the society management will be resolved by the managing committee.

  2. Members must comply with the decisions of the society in accordance with the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960.


13. Miscellaneous

  1. Members should not damage society property or infrastructure.

  2. Use of society facilities is limited to residents and authorized guests only.

  3. Any violation of rules may attract penalties, fines, or legal action as decided by the managing committee.
